am doing the clue section and i can't find any prints or interactibles in the lobby not sure if it's bugged or what

Try looking in the lab or the storeroom

been doing that is why i asked and got the print and vial in the store room and the two in the lab i assume they're all set locations

Try checking near the floors.

Good morning.

I downloaded the game, but it won't let me install it. My phone's latest security update is Android 11, released on January 1, 2023.

Please excuse my question. What can I do to make the game work on my Galaxy A10 Android without any problems?

I look forward to your response. Thank you very much for your understanding and time.

Regards.

I think it depends on your Android version? Which do you have? I had issue getting it to work with earlier releases and given your model of phone, that might be what's happening.

Android version 11.

This happens to me with both the demo and the public version. Excuse me:

Can your game be installed using Joiplay?

I don't think Joiplay would work as this is made in Unity.
Do you have dev options on for installing third party apps? I wonder if maybe the security is blocking it.

I forgot, what does demo mean, because I won't be able to buy this from steam or whatever and it seems like paypal is causing trouble too.

(+1)

The Demo is effectively just the prologue, but the Early Access (Public) version is available in the download links or via the Early access page here: https://pinebrook-games.itch.io/project-thrust-early-access and that will allow you to play everything in 0.3.1, not just the Prologue. That includes content for Mel and Bridgette. If you want to play 0.4.0 which has content for Sammy, Carla, and Gigi, then you'll want to check out our Patreon and become a supporter for code access to the 0.4.0 page, or you can wait until later on this month when it will become public as well.

A Steam release is planned closer to 1.0.0 as Steam is stringent on Adult games getting updates and we want to make sure it doesn't get taken down just because we added new content (despite the adult nature of the game not changing).

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Unless it is a possibility to add a fair payment processor or how they are called (((english is not my main language))), then that means I could not buy it here or on steam.

I haven't tried it yet because I only want to try it on a full product, but it was said paypal blocks or whatever accounts for people that buy these games now too and steam doesn't allow it for germany the last ...3? years.

I'm not a fan of patreon, but I'm stating to think that will be the only way in the end, if that isn't in some way coming back to paypal again.

我觉得这是一个很棒的游戏,但是我很苦恼我不会使用Patreon,但是如果您们选择发布在steam上又有可能会被steam进行下架,我觉得未来有时间我可能会学习如何使用Patreon来支持你们。

A steam version is coming for sure.

I don't think I will use patreon but are there still any sane payment proccessors or how they are called in english? Paypal might ban you if you buy these for some reason, that's what I heard and I only could buy them here.

Yeah, unfortunately Patreon is just about the only way we can accept support at the moment. We set up a Subscribestar but despite providing details and being running for a few months now, they haven't validated our account.

We've been considering a Steam release as well as a higher one-time purchase, but their new murky rules have made it difficult as to what we can release and whether or not the title will be pulled if we put out the updates for it.

It's pretty rough for NSFW devs.

We're still putting out free updates so you'll get the content eventually, and honestly if you want to help support us and don't want to use Patreon, just spreading the word about the game helps a lot. Follow on twitter, join the discord, stuff like that. It's all appreciated! <3

I will probably end up doing that, so the demo build get's updates? Then I ...well I started downloading this without the itch.io app, because it looks like it properly uses my D: that way on the pc.

(+1)

The demo isn't getting updated but there's a public early access build Here: https://pinebrook-games.itch.io/project-thrust-early-access

That page will get updated as the versions get released to the public. The demo is more for if you want to try out the game and have a solid "stopping point".

I dont know how to save help meeee.

Right click will bring up the save menu and you can navigate to the other menus from there.

Omg that was a fast response. THANK YOU very much. As a suggestion, at the beginning of the game put a text box where it says the keybinds to know how to save, advance texts or put skip mode

Y'all have a release date for Android users?

Not at the moment. We're not sure if Unity will appropriately port the project over to Android either. I can do some testing and if it works, we might include an android port. I'll let you know in an hour or so, I'll do a test export and see how it works.

(1 edit)

Did some quick testing. UI needs to be compressed a bit to fix the wider phone aspect ratio OR I need to find a way to force the screen to 16:9 and then put bars on the sides. There's other things I don't know how to do, like how to prompt for keyboard input and how to allow the player to bring up the menu when on a phone (since you don't have a right click... maybe a long press?) I'll look into it but this will likely be a "sometime next month" kind of thing. Definitely seems doable though!

Just wanted to come back around and mention that, if you haven't seen it yet, there is now an Android version available! As well, the 0.3.1 Early Access is available if you want to play past the demo. =)

Android version?

Perhaps! The UI would need to be reworked a bit but it should run without issue on Android. That's something I'd have to save until full release though. Content and core features is first and foremost for development, porting to other platforms would come later.

Just wanted to come back around and mention that, if you haven't seen it yet, there is now an Android version available! As well, the 0.3.1 Early Access is also available if you want to play past the demo. Check the links on the demo page for that! =)

There's a lot of promise here! I quite enjoy what's there so far, and it's hard for me to find games like this that I enjoy, so a big thumbs up! I look forward to more!

(+1)(-2)

Will the protagonist have the chance to transform into a furry form? The combination of anthropomorphic elements would be extremely wonderful. Since the protagonist already has that potion, if this potion enables the protagonist to switch between human form and furry form, it would be very interesting. This will also provide a very wonderful experience for those who prefer furry × furry combinations.

(+2)

That wouldn't work with the context of the game. The tone the game's going for is more or less "science realism" rather than "magical realism." It's not a potion; it's a serum that facilitates cross-species insemination, and not to spoil, but what happens to it kind of precludes it from being used as a consumable. What I mean by the distinction between the two forms of realism is that it's not like Coffee Buns, where you can handwave the character randomly rearranging/adding mass as "it just works like that," because what's been presented by THRUST so far in tone has been grounded (somewhat) in reality. It wouldn't fit thematically either, since the whole point of the experiment in the first place is so humans and anthrosapients can crossbreed at a more consistent rate rather than the rarity it is in the setting currently. The MC just magically transforming into an anthrosapient wouldn't fit that theme at all.

(+4)(-3)

any plans for futa content?

(+1)

It's an idea we've floated but we're unsure how to implement it in the game just yet. We're open to ideas!

(+2)(-1)

Frankly I think futa is one of those things you have to decide from the start if you want to have it in your game world or not, or else it just feels hollow.

Right now the way the game is presented, I could only really see something like a spotted hyena girl being fitting, and with the way they work, that wouldn't really be a "true" futa character.

(+5)(-2)

This was really cute. As an artist, I DESPISE how good and consistent the AI art looks. :D If you want someone to do character art, this is the sort of thing I do. Check out my game and the linked furaffinity on my bio. If you're interested in talking, I've joined your dicord and and we can talk there.

And if not, I'm curious to see where this goes!

(+1)

The spelling/grammar is good. I didn't notice anything except this one line that bugged me

"Oh... God. I hadn't heard about that." or "Oh, God, I hadn't heard about that." reads better. Especially with the content of the scene.
I didn't mind a few of the stuttering parts, but I know a guy that uses ... instead and I found those kind of shutters much more natural to read and closer to IRL nervous "can't focus on what I'm gonna say". This is a MAJOR personal opinion though.
Overall the story is pretty interesting, though perhaps the MC should say a bit more in the beginning on why he's completely used to seeing animal people. It makes sense later, but the fact that he doesn't even mention one thing about Carla being a dog is... well, actually it's kind of refreshing in a way, since it shows that anthro-human interactions are commonplace, but since MC mentions stuff like his physiotherapist being a shark, at least a remark about her being a cute dog person would be nice.
Bridgette explains much of the background/lore/world, but there's quite a few details that confuse me, and one of them is a major plot point!

So, Bridgette says they need hybridization, or both races will die out in 3 generations. Uh, why? one of the issues (I think) is that human-anthro unions will only produce one species. That sort of makes sense, but wouldn't that just mean human male-anthro female and human female-anthro male relationships would have to happen to maintain equilibrium? And even if that didn't work--I get it would go against the concept--but couldn't they just mate within species groups? Some clarity on this part would be greatly appreciated!

As someone who's had to deal with a family member getting a catheter, that scene was NOT appealing in anyway shape or form. I get it, it's a H-game and it's an excuse for the nurse to admire MC's balls, but trust me, that's the LAST thing the MC would be thinking about getting one of those yanked out of his cock. Can't really offer any alternative suggestions other than MC having a sponge bath or something.

MC has to be assigned partners. I get that it's the whole point, but the fact that none of these people bring up the fact that MC could just give sperm samples is so silly. These are his co-workers/scientists, at least one person would bring this up (especially if they like MC and want him for themselves.)

MC being a suspect on top of everything is dumb IMO. I get you wanted the cop characters involved, but it would make more sense that the city has him under protection. Him being a suspect should be something that doesn't get revealed until much later, or only if you become friends with the cops assigned to you. Again, this is just a personal option. I think the "I need to clear my name" adds way too much to an already pretty stacked premise.

I have a few other questions, but that's it for now.

Overall, it's a cool premise/setting for a story, and I'll be looking forward to watching this progress, even with what I mentioned.

Good luck on the project!

(+1)

This is some of the best feedback I've ever received. Thanks so much! All fair points and I'll be reflecting on them and updating some things based on that. Thanks again!

No problem! Would you mind if I reiterated and went over some plot points again? I went back to the game to re-read some of the details again to get a clearer picture of some plot points and see if I overlooked anything. I just don't want to spam the comment section if it's unwanted.

(+1)

All good. So far the points I see you bringing up are:

-Some grammar adjustments
-A bit more consistency in registering appearance of others
-More clarification on the need for hybridization
-Rework the catheter removal into something less upsetting
-Bring up how/why artificial insemination wouldn't be feasible (because it's true that it would be silly to have MC bang when they don't need to)
-MC being a suspect is a bit of a reach

If you have any further points or if I missed any please let me know. I've got them saved so I can refine/address. Thanks!

So, the whole HAF-UC conflict got me curious, though if I had to say something negative, it does feel like names and places are just thrown at the reader with only the bare minimum of context. Like, what exactly IS the HAF? Was it a political party? Did they take over the central cities willingly or by force? What ARE the central cities? Is the game set in one of these central cities? If so, are there any remnants of the war? How long ago was the war—10 years? 20 years? What WAS the war? Was it a conventional war or a "war on "terror"-style insurgency? Who are the United Countries, and what makes them united? Have Anthrosapients always existed, or are they a recent arrival?

One idea, which is probably dumb, was that since the player is human, he should have the option to pick what his stance on the HAF is. Negative or neutral would be easy enough to fit in now, but a positive option could have some interesting hooks with Bridgette. I don't think MC would straight up say, "Man, I loved those goofy terrorists," because he beats around certain tricky subjects in other choices, but him saying something like "Well, they had some good ideas/started from a good place" seems like what he'd say. I don't really know Bridgett's character well enough to say how she'd react to that, but story-wise, it would be funny if it coloured the romance with her if the player decides to, with her trying to "save" the player from his viewpoint. Like them going out to dinner, and the first thing she starts talking about is the player's opinion on the HAF.

It would be interesting if the option went beyond that and coloured other interactions, but that's a lot of work, and within the narrative, it being a 1-on-1 with Bridgett feels like it should stay limited to her (it could even factor into her being much MUCH more nervous/reluctant about sending the player to get the serum.)

Going over Bridgett's dialogue, the impression that I get is the real problem is that interspecies hybridization (which is to say, interspecies impregnation) CAN happen, but it's incredibly rare, and the serum is an attempt at making it work 100% of the time. Am I right on this?

I think what confused me is Bridgett starts by saying, "This is a problem for Anthrosapients," which caused me to zero in on that and then get confused when she brings up "this will affect everyone" later on.

It does bring up a point: if natural hybrids are possible, why aren't they the focus of the research, or at the very least, why isn't there a natural hybrid working at TGI? (Maybe this is a plot point for later?)

I went on this before, but the entire reveal about the serum in the player's bloodstream felt like it really hurt the vibe the game had established at that point. The setting of the player working at a laboratory trying to solve a big problem with a bunch of other people felt like something fresh, but then getting hit by "now you have to fuck all these people" felt like it muddled, even soiled that, especially just being told, "Oh, by the way, you can still work at the lab... I guess." Part of the problem is it just felt unrealistic. Imagine the same situation happened, but it was a life longevity serum. "Hey, congrats, it worked! Except now we have no idea how to make more or how we made it in the first place, but still, we did it!"

It feels like instead the tone/delivery should be "We now know what we're doing will have results, but we (we being the keyword here) have a lot of work to do to ensure this isn't just some fluke/one-in-a-million result."

I think that's part of the problem; it feels too celebratory/tone shifty when it really shouldn't, or at least not to the degree it shows.

Oh, this is kind of silly, but it would fit more if the date was hidden when the MC wakes up in the hospital and doesn't reveal that it's Monday until the nurse tells him he's been in a coma for a week.

Another feature that'd be nice and not one I see often in VNs with branching choices is a "map" that you unlock once you complete an ending that shows/hints at all the possible paths the player can take.

I didn't mention it before, but all of the characters are pretty great so far. I like that Mei is the only character out of the ones present that immediately tries to get into MC's pants. It makes her feel like a more interesting character, especially with Bridgett even giving you a warning about her behaviour. A lot of VN's would've gone out of their way to have a scene with both Bridgett and Sammy in that time frame, and I'm glad you chose not to do that. I love slow burn stuff like that!

Sammy (Squirrel, sorry if I misremembered her name) is probably my favourite character so far, followed by the Doberman cop (again, bad with names), though the bangs-eye covering waitress caught my eye as well.

I like Sammy mostly because of the what I was saying earlier about the whole "working together with people to save the world" vibe I got at the start, so I really hope working at the lab isn't treated like some optional afterthought and actually takes priority unlike the vibe I was getting.
